On Friday, February 13, 2026, FDSRC, in partnership with UC San Diego, proudly hosted The Heart & Soul of Black History, a Black History Month luncheon at the George L. Stevens Senior Center in San Diego.
This special gathering brought together community members of all ages to celebrate culture, faith, music, and collective care while honoring the legacy and ongoing contributions of Black leaders and elders. The afternoon was filled with reflection, inspiration, and connection, highlighting the power of community in advancing health, heritage, and humanity.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this celebration impactful and memorable. We look forward to continuing to honor and uplift our community throughout the year!
